Diluantul auto 506 este un amestec de izomeri ai xilenului, toluen, white-spirit, acetat de butil şi butanol. Se utilizează pentru diluarea produselor de acoperire pe bază de rășini alchidice, a vopselelor auto etc.

Diluantul are aspect lichid transparent, incolor sau ușor gălbui, cu miros caracteristic.
